Omission of Quality Software Development Practices : A Systematic Literature Review

2018

Software deficiencies are minimized by utilizing recommended software development and quality assurance practices. However, these recommended practices (i.e., quality practices) become ineffective if software professionals purposefully ignore them. Conducting a systematic literature review (n = 4,838), we discovered that only a small number of previous studies, within software engineering and information systems literature, have investigated the omission of quality practices. These studies explain the omission of quality practices mainly as a result of organizational decisions and trade-offs made under resource constraints or market pressure. However, our study indicates that different aspe…

Revised annual post-market environmental monitoring (PMEM) report on the cultivation of genetically modified maize MON 810 in 2013 from Monsanto Euro…

2015

Question number: EFSA-Q-2015-00432On request from: European Commission; Following a request from the European Commission, the Panel on Genetically Modified Organisms of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA GMO Panel) assessed the results of the general surveillance activities contained in the revised annual post-market environmental monitoring (PMEM) report for the 2013 growing season of maize MON 810 provided by Monsanto Europe S.A. The supplied data do not indicate any unanticipated adverse effects on human and animal health or the environment arising from the cultivation of maize MON 810 cultivation in 2013. Similar methodological shortcomings to those observed in previous annual PME…

Dual Information Systems : A Review Of Factors Affecting Their Use

2019

More and more information systems (IS) are designed to address a blend of hedonic and utilitarian purposes, and hence become what information system scholars call today “dual systems.” The aim of this research is chiefly to provide a holistic perspective for research done regarding dual IS (i.e., what factors affect users’ adoption and post-adoption of these systems) in order to assess the state of knowledge in this area and to provide a reference point for system designers. To achieve this goal, we started out with a systematic literature review (35 articles), and analyzed the articles in terms of their theoretical background, constructs and findings. The results suggest that there is an i…

Participatory research methods with young children : a systematic literature review

2023

This systematic literature review aimed to ascertain what participatory methods for young children have been used in peer-reviewed empirical articles. A systematic literature search yielded 75 articles. Based on their methodology, the studies were divided into six categories: (1) multi-method and the Mosaic approach, (2) observation and ethnography, (3) language-based methods, (4) visual methods, (5) creative and playful methods, and (6) children as co-researchers. The participatory features of these methods were then analyzed. The articles foregrounded the importance of the reflective use of methods, ethically grounded research practices, and carefully considering young children’s particip…
